Last week, the Cincinnati Enquirer published CUFA's Opinion Editorial calling for local government to require meaningful taxpayer and ratepayer public engagement when they are deciding how to use public resources. Join our campaign by writing your own letter to the editor.
Here are the top 3 actions you can take this week:
Read our Opinion Editorial in the Enquirer: Smart government engages taxpayers to solve issues. "We need meaningful public engagement now. We cannot afford to waste one more dollar by excluding residents from decisions," wrote Clark Beck, CUFA Board President.
- Write your own Letter-to-the-editor to the Enquirer about what meaningful public engagement would mean to you as a ratepayer and taxpayer! Here are some tips here for writing your own letter, and call us if you have any questions at (513) 853-3947.
- Make sure your CUFA Membership is up-to-date (here's our donate page if you're expired) and save the date for our (virtual) CUFA Congress Saturday, January 30 from 10 AM -11:30 AM. We'll have some fun together, talk about our victories and challenges of 2020 and vision for 2021. Current CUFA members will vote on changes to CUFA's bylaws. Register here to get your instructions to join us virtually for the Jan. 30 CUFA Congress.
