Week of July 13: CUFA Pop-Ed Series, Housing Action Team & Sewer Petition

We know that many of the issues we are facing in our community are the result of decision-makers putting profits before people. We hope you will join your fellow CUFA members and our allies at People's Action for our upcoming Popular Education Series to discuss how we got here and what we can do to change it. Keep up with the latest from our issue committees as well in this week's Activist Toolkit.

Here are the top 3 actions you can take this week:

  1. Register for these upcoming sessions of CUFA's upcoming Popular Education Series:  Register here for July 20 Racial Capitalism and here for the August 17 Homes Guarantee session. Stay up to date with the CUFA Calendar for more sessions on our Long-term Agenda to build a Regenerative Economy and Healthcare For All.
  2. Register and attend our Housing Action Team Meeting this Tuesday, July 14, at 6:30 PM. We are working for an immediate moratorium on evictions and foreclosures and in the long-term: affordable housing for all.
  3. Sign onto the petition from our Sewer Justice Team to push for more accountability from the Metropolitan Sewer District for their administration of the Sewer Backup Response and Prevention Programs. Stay tuned for more on an upcoming action to deliver the petition to Hamilton County Commissioners. If you have had a sewer backup, share your story in the comment section of the petition
