CUFA Supports Issue 3

housing

26,000 families and individuals in Cincinnati need an affordable place to live.  CUFA is supporting Issue 3 on the May 4 ballot to provide a funding source for the Affordable Housing Trust Fund.  Voting "yes" will fill our housing gap and does not call for cutting other budgets.

CUFA is supporting Issue 3, which is a charter amendment to spend $50 million per year on affordable housing in the City of Cincinnati.

We are supporting Issue 3 because while the Affordable Housing Trust Fund has existed since 2017, it has never been funded at level to address the need for affordable housing.  This charter amendment would provide the funding to create 500 affordable homes per year so we can end Cincinnati's affordable housing crisis.

The amendment does NOT specify where the money should come from.  As we have seen in the past, when City leaders believe in something, they find money to fund it.  It is time for our City Council to show that they believe in Affordable Housing for All.

CUFA hopes you will join us to promote affordable housing by voting "yes" for Issue 3 on May 4.  If you have questions, feel free to call us at 853-3947 or email us at [email protected]  For more information, visit https://www.actionforhousingnow.com/
