Tell the County Commissioners: we can't afford to flush

Hamilton County Commissioners set sewer rates and oversee the Metropolitan Sewer District's (MSD) spending. Join us at the Commissioners meeting to tell them ratepayers need action now. On Sept. 19, we are asking the Commissioners to:

  • Work with CUFA to expand the sewer bill Customer Assistance Program to help all low-income ratepayers, disabled persons, people experiencing temporary financial hardship and landlords that house a majority low-income tenants; and
  • Restructure sewer rates to end corporate welfare and stop overcharging residential ratepayers; and
  • End the 24-hour reporting rule for sewer backups that MSD uses to deny people help.

Contact CUFA if you have questions, need a ride or want help getting your testimony ready. Bring friends and neighbors! More people = more power to get what we need.
