Housing Justice Movement

Communities United For Action is a Steering Committee Member of the Housing Justice Movement(HJM), a coalition of grassroots organizing groups fighting for safe, decent, sanitary, and affordable housing for all. HJM is lead by grassroots members organizations and community leaders of different races, ethnicities, and geographic areas. Through strong local and national organizing, the Housing Justice Movement has been able to win several significant victories in a short amount of time – such as securing unprecedented rights against displacement for public housing residents and section 8 tenants and defending the right to organize.
