Public Housing

Our Public Housing work revolves around these main issues:

  • Any person, regardless of their immigration status, should be allowed the ability to live in subsidized housing
  • One-for-one, like-for-like replacement for public housing that’s demolished, disposed, or converted
  • Get rid of community service and work requirements for subsidized housing residents
  • Do away with permanent bans on living in subsidized housing for criminal offenses
  • Voucher holders shouldn't be discriminated against based on their source of income (their voucher)
  • No person should be denied access to subsidized housing based on their credit history
  • Residents should be guaranteed the right to organize, form independent tenant unions or other organizations that helps protect their right to due-process
